Public Notice of Alteration to Water Restrictions for the Area Governed by the Fraser Coast Regional Council

Pursuant to Section 388 of the Water Act 2000, Wide Bay Water Corporation announces the following changes to water restrictions in the Hervey Bay water supply area.

Level 1 water restrictions apply:

• All sprinklers, irrigation systems and soaker hoses are banned between 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Hosing of driveways and paved areas is banned at all times except where a water efficient high pressure cleaner (i.e. similar to a “Gurney”) is used.
• All hand held hoses in use must be fitted with a working trigger nozzle.

PENALTIES APPLY: Anyone found breaching the restrictions can be prosecuted or have their supply restricted.
