Wide Bay Water Corporation presently has a two part tariff which consists of a yearly levy and a consumption charge. The yearly levy is for all properties that have connected water or properties that are within 92 meters of a trunk water main. Water meters are read three times per year, approximately 4 months apart and accounts issued on a continuing basis. The consumption charge is currently $1.05 per kilolitre.
  • A 10% discount is offered if the account is fully paid within 30 days of the issue date.
  • A state Government pensioner discount of up to a maximum of $180.00 is available per property (please contact Fraser Coast Regional Council on 07 4197 4370 for further details).

A new connection fee of $1009.00 is payable to have a 20mm water connection to a property to which water is available. Fees for larger water services are available in our Schedule of Standard Fees and Charges. The above fee provides a connection and a water meter to inside the property boundary.

Where can I pay my account?

Your Wide Bay Water Corporation water bill can be paid: (click the options to find out more)

Online

Pay your bills online through the Fraser Coast Regional Council system utilising Post Billpay.

You will need to:

  • have your notice and a pen on hand

click on this link to pay your rates or water bill

  • enter your reference number (located on the front of your notice as shown in the Bill Express Box)
  • enter the payment amount.  Each notice payment should be paid individually.  You will be given the opportunity to enter any additional notice payments after each receipt confirmation.
  • enter your credit card details
  • make sure the transaction is confirmed, and you note your receipt number on your rate notice for future reference

If you need further assistance with Post billpay, please call Council on 1800 881 400.  Hours 8.15 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday.

BPay

Call your participating Bank and register. Follow the recorded prompts to make payments by phone from either your cheque or savings account.

In Person

Present your notice intact with cash or cheque at:

  • Fraser Coast Regional Council Administration Centre in Tavistock St, Torquay, between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. (EFTPOS available)
  • ANZ Bank (no transfer fee will be charged)
  • Any Bank other than ANZ Bank (transfer fee may be charged)
  • Pay in person at any Post Office
  • Pay in person at participating newsagencies
