WetSide Water Education Park

WetSide Water Education Park is located on the foreshore at the junction of Main Street and the Esplanade, Pialba, Hervey Bay.

WetSide is a fun, free, eco-friendly public asset designed around water 'infotainment'. WetSide was created by Water Bay Water Corporation for residents and tourists to learn about water and its sustainable use.

The park includes a special area for under 5s called TotSide and the FlipSide BoardRider wave machine (tickets are $5 from coffee shop staff).

WetSide attracted $4.95million in State Government Q150 funding and was officially opened on December 6, 2009 by Queensland Premier Anna Bligh. PBS Property Group was the principal construction company and completed the building phase in only eight months.

WetSide is smoke and alcohol-free. No bikes, scooters, skateboards or pets are allowed. No running in the park. Additionally, WetSide may close for reasons including private functions, extreme weather and maximum capacity crowds.
