In February 2001, Wide Bay Water Corporation became a Candidate Local Government Owned Corporation (LGOC). The Local Government Act required the corporation to have a board of directors who are responsible for:
- The corporation’s commercial policy and management.
- Ensure, as far as possible, WBWC achieves, and acts in accordance with its Statement of Corporation Intent and its Corporatisation Charter.
- Account to Fraser Coast Regional Council for its performance as required by this part and other laws applying to the corporation.
- Ensure the corporation otherwise performs its functions in a proper, effective and efficient way.
Wide Bay Water Corporation reports quarterly to Fraser Coast Regional Council on the corporation’s operations and prepares an annual report at the end of the financial year.
The Directors
The current board directors were appointed in February 2005 and they are:
